Spring Spirit Week

JaLyn Castro and Juliette Saiz

This upcoming week is Spirit Week. No school on Monday and Tuesday and the rest of the week we will be on a 7-period regular bell schedule. Spirit Week includes Stop Light Day, Hoe-down Day, and PJ Day.

Wednesday March 9th is Stop Light Day. Students and staff who are in a committed relationship wear red, students whose relationship status identifies as complicated wear yellow and students who are single wear green.

Thursday March 10th is Hoe-down Day. Students and staff get creative and dress up in cowboy or cowgirl clothing. Possible clothing items are a button-down flannel shirt, jeans, cowboy boots, and your best cowboy hat.  If you’re feeling extra festive, you can bring a lasso!

Friday, March 11th is PJ Day. Students and staff dress in their comfiest clothing and slippers. Wear your favorite fuzzy pajama pants or your grayest sweatpants!

The following Saturday we have a Scooby-Doo themed school dance that is for everyone! Student Council member Greg Egbert informed us that “Student Council forms ideas for spirit week then votes on them together.” If you’re not happy or have any ideas for next year’s spirit weeks, be sure to tell your student council friends.
