Do you get distracted easily while doing school work? Or do you find yourself scrambling to finish assignments the day they are due? If this is the case then continue reading for some helpful tips on how to manage your time better.

First, it’s a good idea to read the instructions so you can get a better idea of how much time you’ll need to complete the assignments. Set a time limit for the task before you start. This will help when you get distracted.

It’s also helpful to create a to do list. Write down everything you want to accomplish for the day. Be careful, it’s really easy to put things off. Having a to do list keeps your tasks organized and allows you to see what you’ve already done.

Plan ahead. It’s important to have a plan for the day. This prevents you from wasting time and focusing on less important activities.

This day and age is filled with distractions. Make sure you find a quiet, distraction free place to work. Make sure to finish a couple of easy tasks. Try and stay away from half done jobs.  It’s easy to lose track of what you’re doing if you get up to eat or keep checking your phone. If you sit down to do an assignment it’s important to put all your attention into it. You get it done faster and the work is better quality.

It is also important to remember that perfection is not the goal. The goal is to do the assignment to the best of your ability and gain knowledge and understanding from it. Try not to get bogged down with perfection because that is unrealistic.
