Tips For Finals
A test about everything you’ve learned in the last four months? That sounds really worrisome. Finals can be stressful, but you can do well on them. Freshmen coming in may be nervous because this is their first experience with finals. I know I sure was. These are some good strategies to help you take your finals.
One: don’t try to cram all the studying the day before your finals. This can stress you out severely. Plus, you could forget some of the information since you will have multiple finals. Do it gradually like you finish homework and study for 10 minutes.
Two: If you get overwhelmed with the finals and can’t think just take a deep breath and try to relax.
Three: Try your best. Nine times out of 10 you’ll do better than you expect.
Four: Have some confidence in your abilities it always helps when you are confident in what you are trying to succeed in.
Finals start on Wednesday, December 14 with first period final lasting from 7:35 to 8:55. No late start on Wednesday, November 14! A nice part is that on the second and third days of finals week, students have only half days. On Thursday, December 15, you will take finals for periods 2, 3, and 4. Each final will last approximately an hour and 30 minutes. You will be released to go home and study at about noon. The third day of finals will be periods 5, 6, and 7, also with a dismissal time around noon. Then its time to celebrate that you did it and be proud of yourself. Happy winter break!!!
