Hallway policies at Palmer are worse for the school because it makes it harder. One of the policies is that students must have a pass to be in the hallway during class. A lot of students complain about it a lot because they must wait for passes to get back even if they are having an emergency. Waiting for passes makes it harder for you to get what you need to get done. How they have that rule that if you do not have a pass you will get in trouble and even might have to go to detention room, and like that is over exaggerating. I still feel like Palmer saying that if you do not have a pass you would end up going to the detention room does not “scare” anyone because students do it regardless. Also, because so many students have caught without a pass and all their told is to “get to class,” “are you going to class?” etc. but getting sent to that detention room and that’s why students do not take the rule seriously. I am also not FULLY against this rule because they are doing this for a purpose as in, making sure we are in class and not wandering around the hallways and getting our work done to get our credits and have good grades. Not every bad rule is made for no reason, everything has its reason. So I do admit that have these rules sent for us because there’s an extent because going to the detention room for not having a pass is unnecessary because to explain my first reason on why I said I don’t like the “having a pass for the hallways is necessary” is because what if someone is out with the pass and you’re have a major emergency than I’m sure students are not going to wait for the pass and are just going to go do.
