YouTube and TikTok are apps used worldwide by teenagers, but what keeps the teenagers more entertained is the big question. Let us settle any disagreement here by gaining statements from our very own Palmer terrors.
Both Tik Tok and YouTube are very relatable contents to teenagers. They display a variety of content, but between TikTok and YouTube what consumes more of their attention?
Koryann, a 15-year-old sophomore, revealed “TikTok consumes more of my attention. I feel like I have a short attention span so, watching shorter videos is better for me.”
While that was one Palmer Terror’s opinion there is more to conclude on this lingering question.
Aaliyah, a 14-year-old freshman communicated, “TikTok is more entertaining. It shares a lot of information and YouTube is more for ideas, but Tik Tok carries better relatable content.”
Comparably, these two Terrors agree that Tik Tok is what they tend to gravitate towards. Could there be a deeper meaning to TikTok overriding YouTube?
Derick, a 14-year-old Freshman, settled the last conspiracy that Tik Tok is better than YouTube as his former students. “TikTok is a platform that is originally made for teenagers and that is why it is better than YouTube. Even though they are both relatable TikTok is designed for our thoughts, feelings and moods. YouTube is more of when you want to settle down after the day and relax.”
All three students seem to have a common opinion that what makes TikTok a better platform is its relatable content varying from the shortness of videos to the point of it being designed mainly for teenager’s entertainment. As well as being convenient when they need a quick watch.
What are your thoughts on YouTube vs TikTok? And would you agree with our Palmer Terrors?
