Every year in the first week of school, Palmer students go to the color dance to get multicolored with chalk, have fun with friends, and celebrate the beginning of the new school year.
For this story I interviewed Celina Dardez who’s a freshman here at Palmer.
Many students game with their friends or siblings in order to start off their 2025 school year with color! “I’m having a fun time at the dance so far. I love hanging out with my friends” Celine told me midway into the color dance.
Among all the grades at Palmer, many freshmen attended the color dance this year, including Celina. “I am [enjoying the school year] I like the classes.” That’s what Celine had to say about her classes here at Palmer.
What she enjoyed the most were the colors. “I enjoy the beautiful colors and I got the colors in my eyes a lot of times and it hurts.”
Many students are looking forward to the other dances at Palmer. “I’m looking forward to the dances, especially homecoming.”
This was the first dance of the Palmer 2025 school year and everyone had a good time. It’s a great way to meet new people and have fun with friends. What did you think about the color dance this year?
