The girls’ basketball team at Palmer High School. The coaches are Coach Coop, he is our varsity coach, Coach Will is our JV coach, and Coach Gina is our C squad coach. I joined the basketball team because I’ve always wanted to get into basketball ever since I was a little girl and now that I have been playing for 3-4 years and I’m in love with the sport. Basketball is a very exiting sport to get into and a good way to get involved with the Palmer sprit.
Palmer girls know how to hustle. They show up to practice and work hard. They have also been working all summer. Coach Williams, known as Coach Will to the players, says, “I am very excited about this coming season… We are coming up with all new plays and more team members so hopefully we will break that losing streak and make it to some type of playoff.”
Try out starts on November 17th, 2025. The team needs more players so if anyone wants to come and tryout, you are strongly encouraged to come and see if you will be interested in the team and want to be part of the team. You can also help the team by coming out and coming to the home games.
“We need to have more of our students to come to our games and support us and be there to cheer us on,” Coach Will says.
The varsity team is going against Smokey Hill for the first game on December 4th,2025. Also, we will be going against Rampart High School on January 8th, 2026.
Smokey Hill will be one of their big games in the season. “I’m excited to see are varsity play against Smokey Hill because that will probably be our best game.” Coach Will says.
