All sports at Palmer are great and always have a good strategy to succeed. However, there are a lot of sports that rarely get time in the spotlight. One of them is the Swim and Dive team. The dive team works very hard and faces their fears to be the best that they can be. They all have to stretch themselves thin and push themselves hard. Ms. Eustice, the dive coach, said that a lot of people think diving is just jumping off the board, but there is way more to it. When you first join the team, you start off with the basics and then they have you try different strokes, learn how to swim off the wall, and figure out how to get faster.
The sportsmanship on the team is amazing. They are always positive and supportive of one another, even of their coaches. Ms. Eustice mentioned that when she has a bad day at school and goes to practice to see her girls, it makes her day better. It is an amazing feeling to have a team that is more like a family, and that is what Palmer sports do. A team is just a bunch of brilliant people joining together to do what they love and have a passion for.
Hopefully, this will give the reader a desire to go out and get involved at Palmer to understand the full Terror experience. If anyone isn’t interesting in doing a sport but still wants to support them, they can always attend competitions.
