Educating Children of Color is an organization made to give students a place to ask questions and express the things they want for their future. A place to help students take the next steps to reach their goals. It also gives students the opportunity to win scholarships, laptops, and more educational gifts.
No matter the career paths, speakers from all over the country come to connect to young minds and explore options for after high school. This is an amazing opportunity for Palmer students to get more involved in ECOC.
ECOC has awarded more than half a million dollars in scholarships and educational gifts in the last five years. Students must attend the 2026 Summit Conference on February 21 at Fountain Fort Carson High School to be eligible for scholarships. Palmer students that have attended the ECOC conferences have had great success talking to the speakers and listening. Says one Palmer student Savanna Cook, “It was really good information I wouldn’t have heard anywhere else.”
Sarah Griego, who has been involved with the conference for several years says, “I would love to see more Palmer students involved.” We encourage Palmer students to involve themselves with ECOC to seize the opportunity to pursue and continue their education.
